u kno that can happen wen then rebirth it shows htem lvl 1 wearring high lvl weapon on ur screen. but on their screen it doesnt show up

It could be that, or the hack. I was on a hacking forum like 2 weeks ago and this guy developed a hack (For ver 55 or 58) that allowed maplestory characters to equip any item they wanted SERVER SIDED. So, the thing is, hack, or rebirth. =3

yea i kno about the hack too so theres confusion there. well, i doubt he would still want to use same weapon after a rebirth
